Lady Bug Says ... Not Quite Sure

I said in this post that I loved this top, but wasn't sure of how else to wear it, but I think I may have found another way!
I'm liking the top half of this outfit, but not so convinced about the bottom! Thinking the skirt makes me a look a little bit too bottom heavy and the sandals are kind of not doing a lot for my cankles! My ankles have been really sore and swollen since I started running, think I need to invest in some better trainers!

I am pretty much all aboard the trend wagon with this outfit, but I like it :)

Flatform sandals - oh yes, check!

Lady Bug Says ... Does My Bum Look Big In This?!

DMBLBIT
Infographic Produced by Very.co.uk
Test 2.5

I am sure every woman, at one point in her life has asked or at the very least thought, 'does my bum look big in this?'! I know I personally have on many an occasion, and know the answer is usually yes (my Mum says I have child bearing hips and a bum to match!). My waist and hips are a little out of proportion, but certainly not verging on Kardashian standards!

I can't say I have ever asked the Mr the question though, as his answer would be 'of course not' regardless of what I was wearing. I don't think this is out of fear of what my response would be, he knows that I quite like my pear shape, but more because he isn't really bothered if my bum looks big or not!

Very have been collecting some information and have come up with the below infographic based on the question. I do love a good infographic, it pleases the geeky designer in me!

Whether you are a more casual girl or love a good going out dress, Very have it in every bum flattering shape and size!

Lady Bug Says ... Not So Mellow Yellow!

If you had asked me a few years ago if yellow featured a lot in my wardrobe, I would of answered with a big resounding no! For years I was convinced that my slightly yellow/olive toned skin would not be complemented by anything vaguely yellow! But in the last year or so I seem to have had a major change of heart, now favouring the brightest of yellows!

I saw this bright beauty in my favoured sale section of Primark and thought it was really about time I owned a yellow chiffon midi dress. Seeing as I have worn it about 4 times since buying it a few weeks ago I made the right choice!

This neon pink necklace was also snapped up from the sale, I am sure you all know by now that I do love a good statement necklace. I have bought another pair of these flatform shoes, these are on the verge of being ruined, thanks to me wearing them nearly every day to work. They are the most comfortable heels in the world!

Chiffon midi dress & gold belt, Primark £5
Black blazer, Primark £12

Lady Bug Says ... Working It Out

Evening :)

This is pretty much a more work appropriate version of this weekend outfit, I don't think the short shorts would have gone down well at work! This jumper is already earning its place a new favourite 'go to' item in my wardrobe!

Grey suede flatform shoes, H&M £20
Black skinny jeans, Primark £8
Metallic marl jumper, Next £12
Necklace, Primark £5

I picked up this necklace a few weeks ago in Primark, the jewellery section seems to be going from strength the strength in the last few years! I love a good statement necklace for adding some interest to an otherwise simple outfit.

My nails are painted in my current favourite polish, Barry M NP140, which dries with an interesting semi matte finish. I finished the tips off with 2 coats of LOOK Beauty's sequin effect polish.

Do you have 'go to' items in your wardrobe?

Lady Bug Says ... My Glossybox Favourites

We are going a little beauty this week, partly because the day I had set aside for outfit photos it rained solidly for 8 hours so that didn't happen, but also because I do love make up and beauty products and I don't really talk about it a whole lot!

I have been signed up to Glossybox for around 9 months now but haven't posted about them until now as I think the Glossybox review market is pretty well covered! But I wanted to share the products that have been my absolute favourites that I have received, loved using a would either consider or have repurchased.

I think this is most probably meant for slightly maturer skin, but I still really like using it. I have been using it under my make up as a moisturiser/primer and it makes my skin a lot smoother and even. I'm not to sure if I would repurchase it as it is on the pricier side, all depends if something the works as well that is a bit cheaper makes its way onto my radar!

Super sparkly nail polish in a brilliant dark fuscia pink, what is not to like, well apart from the time it takes to remove! Luckily it wears fairly well so you get a good 4-5 days before you need to take it off and replace. They are again fairly pricey, but I will definitely will be adding some more of these to my next birthday wish list!

This smells AMAZING! Before using this I would never of even thought about spending £6.50 on a shower gel but this changed my mind, I repurchased this before my first one had even run out. It smells good, lathers up really well and leaves your skin super soft.

This is a little wonder product, I use it a lot on the dry patches on my face and it helped clear them up pretty quickly. I tried to repurchase this whilst I was in France but couldn't find it, but think I will definitely be hunting it down online!

I honestly wasn't expecting to like this as I am not a fan of coconut, but combined with jasmine it actually has a pretty great scent, it reminds me of summer in a bottle. It is all you could want in a shower gel and you get a good amount of product for your money.

As soon as I saw this I loved the cute vintage style packaging and the balm inside is pretty good too! I have been putting this on my lips before I go to sleep and it has been doing wonders for my lips whilst I have been getting my 40 winks!

These are hands down the best tweezers I have ever used and I am so glad to have got them in my box as they aren't something I would have gone out and purchased otherwise. They make me realise how blunt the tweezers I was previously using really were!

This is a really pretty scent and a great size for travelling or on a night out. The only downside is that tube is made of pretty thin glass and I would be slightly concerned about it smashing in my bag! Considering you only pay £12.95 for the beauty box receiving this full sized perfume is pretty good value for money!

I was really happy to get this in my box, especially after seeing loads of people getting it in a box last year and raving about it! The only thing I am disappointed about is despite filing in the beauty profile on the Glossybox site and stating that I am a brunette I received this palette in 'Bombshell' which has 3 light shades meant for blonde's and 1 darker shade which just about matches my brows. I would have loved this if it had been in the correct shade, but I am hoping I can make use of it!

I already had a few of these Jelly Pong Pong Lip Frosting's so knew I would like this, it is a pretty pink colour with a lovely sweet scent. I love Jelly Pong Pong cosmetics and their cute quirky packaging :)

Overall I find Glossybox can be a bit hit and miss, some months I find most of the items are nice but not necessarily for me, whereas others I love the majority of the box, but I guess it is all down to personal taste.

Are you signed up to a beauty box subscription service? What is your all time favourite product that you have received?

I have not been asked or paid by Glossybox to write this review, I just wanted to give my thoughts on the products that I have received and liked!

Lady Bug Says ... Olympic Nails

Evening lovelies.

After seeing all the patriotic nail art being sported at the Olympics, I thought I would create my own. A little bit of red, white and blue & bronze, silver and gold :)

I have become a little obsessed with graduated dots and thought the Olympic colours would work well.

To create this I used the following:
Eyeko Petit Polish for the base colour.
Nails Inc 'Victoria & Albert', ELF 'White' and MUA 'Shade 9' on my middle fingers.
All About Face 'Fudge', Models Own 'Juicy Jules' and Models Own 'Champagne' on my thumbs and little fingers. I used filed down cocktail sticks to create the dots.
I finished off the tips on the remaining fingers with Juciy Jules, damn that polish is sparkly!
The cotton wool pad, cotton buds and nail polish remover came in handy for cleaning up inevitable messes!

Have you been getting into the Olympic spirit?

Lady Bug Says ... Who Wears Short Shorts!?

Evening lovelies.

Now, possibly stating the obvious but these photos were taken last week, when the sun was shining and it was safe to get my legs out without them being covered in goosebumps and rain! It was also last week when I purchased these shorts from the sale in Tesco, convincing myself that I did indeed need a pair of floral print shorts to add to my collection! Whilst we are on the subject of new things, this jumper also happens to be a new addition to my wardrobe, courtesy of the Next sale. I didn't think I had really 'done' the sales but apparently I have!

The floral shorts were the last pair in my size, so of course I grabbed them! Their £4 price tag was also pretty much all the justification I needed to make them mine! Strangely though there were loads of these grey marl jumpers with metallic detailing hanging on the racks in the Next sale, why nobody was buying them I don't know, they are gorgeous!

Grey flatform shoes, H&M £20
Floral print shorts, F&F at Tesco £4
Grey jumper, Next £12

If you follow me on Instagram or Twitter (@Ladybugsays) you may seen me mention purchasing this necklace whilst away on holiday. It was from a little jewellery shop in my favourite town, and despite the security at the airport being slightly wary of the metal spiky thing in my luggage, it is a firm favourite of mine! It is so damn heavy too!

Necklace, £20

Outfit total £56
